I had to read it to see what all the fuss was about, and I was not disappointed. I loved the gothic feel, the creepy house and family members, and the strong and smart protagonist caught in its web. It was the perfect pandemic read, as it kept all distractions at bay (funny how that’s a thing now) as I completely devoted myself to reading it every chance I got.
