Since 1996, the month of April has served as National Poetry Month to remind people of the role poets and poetry have played in our culture and history. Over the past 25 years, National Poetry Month has grown into of the largest literary celebrations in the world. To help you celebrate this year, we’ve created a list of 30 poetry books, one for each day in April. We’ve featured some of our favorite new releases, the most anticipated upcoming collections, classic works by some of poetry’s most influential voices, poetry from around the world, and the perfect poetry books to read with your kids, so whatever your age or interests you’re sure to find the books you need to keep your celebration going all month long.
